What is a safety shower combination?

Safety shower combinations or combinations of body emergency showers and eye showers are more space-saving compared to a single installation. This results in the possibility of creating a central point of contact for first aid. They are just as suitable for use in laboratories and research. These safety showers are mandatory first aid facilities for workplaces where employees may come into contact with hazardous substances, acids, alkalis, heat, flames and also extreme dirt. The limited, uniform and above all soft water jet is optimized for rinsing off chemicals on the skin.

How is contamination of the water standing in the shower prevented by safety shower combinations?

The standard version of B-SAFETY safety shower combinations can already be connected to flow through, so that standing water in the shower is prevented. One water connection is available at the top and one at the bottom.

All B-SAFETY body safety showers and freestanding industrial safety showers are designed to be self-draining between the trigger valve and the shower head to prevent contamination of standing water in advance.

What are the specifics of safety shower combinations?

Through the possible combination with a hand-eye shower, such as BR864085, or hand shower, an injured person also has the possibility to partially care for minor injuries without having to immediately use the body safety shower.

The safety shower combinations are equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the specifications of ANSI Z358.1 and EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely free of calcification and maintenance, and very robust and corrosion-resistant.

What standards apply to safety shower combinations?

Our safety shower combinations comply with the standards EN 15154-1:2006 (Body showers in laboratories), EN 15154-5:2019 (Body showers for locations other than laboratories / replacement for DIN 12899-3:2009) and ANSI Z358.1-2014.. Showers with integrated eye shower comply the EN 15154-2:2006 and in USA the ANSI Z358.1-2014. Further national standards may have to be observed. In addition, company standards may need to be considered when selecting an safety shower combination.
